PUTTING YOUR HEALTH FIRST IS HARD!
It’s like trying to control your cravings for comfort food, while juggling a set of kids who all want something different for dinner, and oh, by the way, the hunt for dirty dishes under the beds continues, you are working to bring in extra income wherever you can, the dog just ate your kid’s sock and you are trying not to kill something because it’s that time of the month again.
WELCOME TO LIFE AS A MOM OF ALL TRADES, MASTER OF SOME
I’m so glad you are here! Your busy, creative, upside-down, ups and downs, totally imperfect, every-day, inspired, crazy life is normal here. I am here to help you side-by-side on your journey. We are all juggling family, health, finances and fun time. It can get overwhelming, but we love our life and all the good things we have been given.
My goal is to support you in all things healthy. I know what it’s like to juggle a million to-dos all at once while still finding time for yourself so you don’t go crazy. It’s my passion to help you find the short cuts and cut through the garbage so you can eat better, feel better and free up more time in your life. I totally get it! You don’t have the time or resources to mess around with things! It’s my job to streamline things so you don’t have to.
THIS IS A PLACE YOU CAN FIND:
- Foods that nourish and support your body so you can have more energy, less brain fog, and lose weight without resorting to drastic measures.
- Natural, inexpensive alternatives to conventional health care that are safer, cheaper and more effective so you can save money and time taking care of your family.
- Ways to save money, make money and great resources, tools, tip, tricks and hacks to grow a sustainable business that you love!
- Plus, some DIY projects, gardening, and urban homesteading, because a girl needs to do fun things that support a healthy lifestyle!
- A listening ear! I want to help you with what you are struggling with.
It is my belief that to live up to our potential and fulfill our life’s purpose we need a healthy body, healthy mind, and healthy finances. I believe in God, truth, authenticity, quality, efficiency, dreaming, creativity, laughing a lot, listening well, forgiving yourself and others, minimizing distractions, a good comeback, and fighting for the underdog – which is why I opened my home to abandoned rabbits.
MEET THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG
Hi! I’m Jaimie. Some things you should know about me:
My job in the corporate world ended when I picked my kid over “big” money. She was formally tested and diagnosed as being “ADHD” and in our world that means fast-brained with tons of energy.
As hard as it is to raise a kid who is constantly on the go, we consider it a total gift. The teachers had a hard time dealing with her in the classroom, and I was tired of not being the one to raise my own daughter. Nine-hour days plus nearly a two-hour round trip commute left little time together, especially with the increasing demands of school.
I am a born-again believer in the one and only true Jesus as defined in the Bible. My work and life are based on the Word as it is written and not necessarily as it is interpreted by men. I am a former member of a church that has established itself as the only way to salvation, and teaches things that contradict the Bible. When I discovered this I left. I don’t belong to a specific “church” anymore. I see myself as a part of the body of Christ. See my statement of faith here.
My formal education is in business. During college, I focused my studies on fraud prevention, detection and investigation since my major was accounting, even though I struggled with math as a kid. I volunteered with one of the global non-profit organizations dedicated to busting people like Bernie Madoff. I have owned several businesses, coached others about business and worked jobs in both marketing and loss prevention.
When I was a kid, I was known as “the shy artist.” That’s what you got called back then if you were quiet. It turns out I’m not really a shy person, but an introvert who loves listening and learning. From a neurological perspective, that makes me both left-brained and right-brained. It makes sense. And, it explains why it feels like an MMA fight is unfolding in my head on occasion. Sometimes, I am totally immersed in my artistic creative mode and other times I am all science-y and geeking out on studies and stats.
I gained a ton of weight as a young adult, as in 100 extra pounds. I also managed to lose 97 pounds of it. So, I know what it feels like to always be tired, unhappy and in pain physically. It totally stinks! After geeking out on nutrition and physical fitness research, I figured out how to slim down and get healthier without using dangerous diet drugs or expensive surgery. That means I probably know more than the average person about health and motivation.
My house is home to rescued, abandoned rabbits – rabbits that people dumped off in a neighborhood to fend for themselves against dogs, cars, coyotes, and owls. I have a huge soft spot for bunnies! So if things get a little “rabbity” around here, you will understand why.
I really hope you hang around for a while! Got a question? Contact me here! Make sure you save yourself a spot on our email list so you don’t miss out on the insider goods and freebies!
What others are saying…
“Jaimie has an incredible gift of listening, which is extremely rare in this day and age. She has coached me through small business as well as personal challenges, to find solutions that were catered toward my individual needs. She accomplished this in a fun, non-judgmental fashion.”
~J.H., Washington State
“Jaimie is sensitive to others and is a good listener. She has empathy and can put herself in my shoes and understand me. It makes me feel like she cares and actually “listens” to what I am saying by giving me her undivided attention.”
~C.S., Washington State
